An additional nine sponsors from the building industry have signed on to help with the construction of a Hurricane Relief House in Historic Suwanee's Stonecypher community. Atlanta-area builder Richport Properties and the City of Suwanee have teamed up to construct and find sponsorships for the house so that all proceeds can benefit community rebuilding in a community affected by recent hurricanes.
The new sponsors include: Billy D. Clark, Kevin Doctor Contracting, Tommy Lee Carpets, Brotherz Electric, A&W Contracting, Rich Drywall, Delta Faucets, Custom Air Concepts and Mailbox Replacements. By contributing labor and supplies, these trade partners will minimize the costs associated with the home's construction and maximize the donation. City of Suwanee officials are helping to identify a recipient city to benefit from the fundraising effort.
"We welcome the sponsorships by people at all stages of building construction. The support of our trade partners demonstrates this industry's dedication to helping others," said Lee Williams, Vice President of Communities and Marketing for Richport Properties.
The Hurricane Relief House will be located at 600 Stonepark Lane in Stonecypher, a neo-traditional community of three- and four-bedroom Craftsman-style homes in Historic Suwanee. Richport Properties has chosen the Nelson home style, which offers three bedrooms, two and a half baths, a keeping room and a study. The home will boast hardwoods on the main level and heavy trim throughout the primary living areas. The base price of the home is $226,500. Construction began last fall and should be completed in March.
